Realme started off as a subsidiary of OPPO but is now a stand-alone company. However, the company still uses some of OPPO’s technologies such as ColorOS 7 and VOOC fast charge technology even though it is trying to distance itself from OPPO. The manufacturer is getting a custom version of ColorOS 7 for its phones, and now it has filed trademark applications for its fast-charging technology. It has been reported that Realme has filed trademark applications for the words “DART” and “SUPERDART”. The logos for the two trademarks shows that they are related to fast charging. Some say it is just a rebrand of OPPO’s VOOC and SUPERVOOC fast-charge technologies while others say it may be for Realme’s own proprietary fast-charge technologies. Nevertheless, we expect the trademarks will begin to appear on future products including chargers and power banks. The Realme X2 Pro is currently Realme’s phone with the fastest fast charging technology. It supports SUPERVOOC (version 1) which ha...

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro/Mi 9T Pro review Leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite expected to arrive at CES 2020 next month have already revealed its design, and now we are looking at the phone's user manual which corroborates those leaks. Galaxy Note10 Lite on the left and Galaxy S10 Lite on the right The user manual only includes the sketches of the Galaxy S10 Lite, but they do confirm that the smartphone will sport a display with a punch hole in the center and a fingerprint scanner underneath. Around the back, it has a rectangular camera island on the left side, housing three snappers stacked on top of each other, with the flash placed on the right. Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite design revealed through user manual The S10 Lite will have the power button and volume rocker located on the right side, with the SIM and microSD card slot on the left and USB-C port placed at the bottom. The S10 Lite will also come with MST and NFC for Samsung Pay. There's still no word from...

Sony Xperia 5 review In the wake of soured relations between Huawei and the US, life has been anything but easy for the Chinese tech giant. However, that doesnt mean that acceptance or desperation have settled in. Quite the contrary, Huawei and its subsidiaries and sister companies have really been doubling-down hard to make up for lost ground and still come out on top. Whether through impressive efforts into 5G infrastructure, expansion and contracts or the aggressive Western marketing for tech accessories like smart TVs and wearables , which haven't been affected by various trade bans quite as badly. And these are just some of the reactionary measures in the tech realm we are observing first-hand. Huawei's contingency plans stretch far and beyond and operate with impressive scope. Software effort has been huge in this process. And we're not just talking about the company's HarmonyOS , which still holds great promise as an Android alternative and beyond. Huawei...

OnePlus 7T review The Oppo Reno3 and Reno3 Pro unveiled two days ago have exceeded 1.46 million registrations of interest in China, out of which 580,000 came through JD.com. The lineup also became the booking champion on TMall for 2019. How many of these registrations convert to sales is something we'll have to wait to see, but these numbers are indicative of the high interest garnered by Oppo's first wave of 5G smartphones. That said, it's worth mentioning that these figures were counted on December 27 at 6:30 PM local time, so the final count is likely to have crossed 1.5 million by now. Reno3 series exceeds 1.46 million registrations The Reno3 is powered by Mediatek's Dimensity 1000L SoC and starts at CNY3,399 ($485/435), while the Pro version has the Snapdragon 765G SoC at the helm with the base model priced at CNY3,999 ($570/510). You can head this way to check out the detailed specs of both smartphones . Source (in Chinese) | Via Related articles ...
